1. Planting time

Garlic is a kind of crop that likes cold and cool environment, so it depends on the climate and varieties of each region. It can be divided into spring sowing and autumn sowing. 2. Land preparation

Before planting, the land should be ready. The soil shall be deeply cultivated for 20-25cm, and then the soil shall be compacted and leveled with intensive tillage. There shall be no obvious stones or clods. According to the actual situation, the boundary line should be about 1m long and 4m wide, or about 50cm long and 4m wide.

3. Seeding

Select garlic cloves with large volume and good color, peel the garlic cloves by hand, remove the garlic clove plate and stem plate, and grade the garlic cloves. Select garlic cloves with large volume, pure white appearance, no damage and unsmooth skin as seeds. Each clove needs to weigh 5g. The seed size is related to the yield, so try to choose the seeds with large grains. Sowing: drying the seeds for a day or two to improve the germination rate of the seeds. Be careful not to choose a high temperature period, that is, when the temperature is 15-17 degrees, the climate is warm and cool, and the sun is not strong. If you sun the seeds when the sun is strong, the seeds may die directly. Sown on the border field surface, with the ditch depth of 4-5cm and row spacing of 20 rows ×  16cm, 1-2 seeds shall be sown in each ditch, and 1cm thin soil shall be covered after sowing, and the soil shall be watered to make it moist.

4. On site management

Garlic is a crop that needs a lot of water. In order for it to grow fast, it needs to keep the soil. Generally speaking, four times of watering is required during the whole growth period. Germination is required as soon as possible after one sowing; The second seedling stage can promote the rapid growth of seedlings; The third stage of garlic moss growth promoted the growth of garlic moss; In the bulb expansion stage, increase the water content of the bulb expansion for four times to avoid poor growth of the bulb. At the same time, fertilization is also essential to obtain high yield. The principle of fertilization is mainly to apply machine fertilizer with a small amount of chemical fertilizer; Base fertilizer is mainly used, supplemented by topdressing. During planting, 5000kg of decomposed organic fertilizer shall be applied per mu, and the mixed fertilizer shall be evenly spread on the ground.
